ระหว่างอ่านนึกถึง fleabag ใน prine video อยู่ตลอด มุกตลกร้านต่างๆนาๆให้บรรยากาศคล้ายกันเลย แต่ส่วนตัวให้กิลด้าชีวิตค่อนข้างหดหู่กว่า อาจจะด้วยการบรรยายสิ่งที่เธอเป็นสิ่งที่คิดในหัวอยู่ตลอด
ช่วงท้ายอ่านแล้วรู้สึกดิ่งตามไปเลยจริงๆ ไม่ได้ถึงขั้นร้องไห้ แต่มันก็ทำให้เราเข้าใจกับความคิด สิ่งที่อยู่ในหัวคนเป็นซึมเศร้ามากขึ้นนะ(คิดว่า)
เป็นเรื่องที่เออ อะไรผ่านเข้ามาเปลี่ยนอารมณ์ในเรื่องดี บางบทเป็นการพยายามกลบเกลื่อนการเป็นเลส บางบทแอบมีความเป็นสืบสวนเฉย ซึ่งแต่ละบทก็ไม่ได้ทิ้งกลิ่นอายเอกลักษณ์ของตัวเองทิ้งเลย ค่อนข้างดี อ่านแล้วเพลิน ไม่ได้พาเราติดมือมากขนาดนั้น แต่ก็คาดเดาไม่ถูกเลยว่าชีคิดอะไรในหัวอยู่บ้าง5555555

The reading club guide at the back compares this to Fleabag. I hated the smug smirks that Fleabag threw at the camera every time I saw a clip of it, which is why I refuse to watch it. I hated this because it's written in a stream of consciousness style and the main character is horrible. I have no idea why people like her, because she's horrid to everyone.
I thought I'd like this for the anxiety rep, but I realised that it's hard work being inside a character's head who is like this constantly. Others may enjoy this, particularly if they have anxiety as bad as Gilda's, or if they like Fleabag, but for me this was just a big no.

The existential horror, beauty and ridiculousness of being a human and experiencing all three at all times. It mostly made me laugh and sometimes made me cry. Another sad girl lit that hits with recognition but keeps me feeling slightly more sane by comparison. If I have to go on another date with a Guissepe-adjacent man though it might just tip me over the threshold.
At first, I really liked the main character and the story. It’s a silly premise and I thought I’d enjoy it much more, especially because it felt very relatable at parts. I think the ending just wasn’t for me, personally. Gilda was very miserable at points that it was kind of unbearable, which is probably why it took me so long to get through this.
