I'm truly disappointed in Chuck. His writing is nothing like it used to be. He's not making his stories as... cutting edge (for lack of better words) as they used to be. This book was painful for me to read. I would get lost in the chapters because there were so many names, and each name was bold which in the end took away from the writing itself. I didn't even finish this book, that's how hard it was for me to read. Sorry Chuck. I want my time back.

Tell All is a great, quick and easy read. Palahniuk is definitely not a newcomer to the writing scene and his work is always discussed among some of the best. In this novel we are tangled into a web of lies, love and betrayal with the setting being old Hollywood. As with any Palahniuk book the characters are created with such care and creativity that his readers can't help but be sucked into his Fictional worlds and the lives of each and every character.

The pace of Tell All is very quick and consistent, There never is a boring moment. With plenty of names dropped throughout - the reader will find themselves grasping the world that the main character (Katherine Kenton) lives in. Instead of Chapters and Parts we find ourselves reading through Scenes and Acts which are accordingly labeled as the story unfolds.

Overall I found Chuck Palahniuk's newest release to be a success. This book will keep all the hard core Palahniuk fans very happy and anyone looking for something new just as excited.

Chuck Palahnuik can be a bit hit and miss for me. Survivor - hit; Choke -miss. This is another miss.
The book builds up at the end, but the end wasn't a shock twist or anything too surprising. The style of the book is painful to read and makes it a chore to get through.

Let me start off by saying that this wasn't my favorite Palahniuk book.
I found that it took too much time to actually get to the plot and by the time I got there, I just wasn't all that interested anymore. The constant "name dropping" throughout didn't help the books cause either; having to read about 4-8 famous names per page was a turn-off. I just started skimming over them the further along I got into the book.
A bright side to the whole thing is in fact it's plot (Act II - Act III) and it's ending…these are the books saving graces.

If it's any consolation to whoever: I rate it 1.5 stars, but can't give 2.
I now know that I'm not going to become a fan of Palahniuk, ever. But I will continue reading his books because I like finishing what I have started.

Tell-All is different from everything else of his that I have read, with the potential of being a great book if written by another. Sadly it has Palahniuk's usual elements. Using one repetitive motif throughout the book - Roar, meow, moo Audrey Hepburn(also Jack's crap(Fight Club); the chemical elements(Pygmy). I think that Chuck has Turret's syndrome. Also there are a lot of penises, anal, oral, orifices and so on, as in any other of his books. The twist at the end was interesting, though mid-book it was kind of obvious, when the housekeeper stated that she's hiding the notes for the dog from Kenton's friends. It could have been a really good crime novel, but the cheap comedy that the author tries to create in all of his books ruined it.

Conclusion: NEVER read an author's whole bibliography. You'll be able to write his/her books for them in the end.
