Adored this. If Killing Eve were a paranormal story about three teenagers but all of them are Villanelle. Girl power taken literally.

4.5 stars rounded up!

“I didn’t come this far to only come this far.”

This was fantastic! It is the epitome of a feminine rage read that encapsulates everything while not being too overwhelming. I adored the three main characters and I love that their voices are all distinct and powerful in their own ways, while still also being relatable. I can’t really choose a favorite because I think each girl gave me something I needed. All three were extremely important.

The overall plot was a really cool experience! It was a thrilling and creepy tale. I do think the plot twists were fairly obvious but in a very logical way. The author didn’t hand us the reveals; I just logically worked through them on my own.

Highly recommend to fans of feminist fiction and horror books!

Oh such good witchy feels. I loved this book. It was so good. I enjoyed the story line, back stories, and plot twists.
Diverse in characters and loved the connection between characters.
Love this!

This is a must-read for all fans of YA witchy thrillers.

The story follows three main characters: Zara, who wants to revive her murdered sister from the dead, Jude, who wants to cure the damage done from her botched deal with the devil and Erner, an orphaned curse writer who seeks revenge for the men who killed her family.

Meanwhile, a serial killer is targeting Erner's clients, so Erner joins forces with Zara and Jude to find the killer before they're next on his list.

Invocations is a gorgeously thrilling, addictive and twisty novel that begs to be read in one sitting. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Great listen! It was refreshing to hear a narrator actually do a decent Irish accent. A few moments of this story were a little too convenient, with the ending feeling a little rushed & predictable. Regardless, the appeal to me was the journey & bonds of the three women in this story - three very different people working together for a similar cause. Magic was such an interesting concept in this book, and genuinely stomach-turning at times.
