I really liked this one. I actually liked every character in this book. There were some decisions they made that I disliked, but I didn’t lose my appreciation for the character and I saw that as a win. Overall there was a dynamic cast and all of the characters seemed very dimensional, in addition to there being a dimensional story line.

Would’ve loved it with just a little more or a few less stupid decisions maybe..idk..I’m not sure what kept me from loving it. Maybe age of characters although they felt more mature for their age for the most part which I appreciated.

What a fun sweet read. I loved the sassy and self confident Claire and the cocky but down home Adam so much. Riley, Tate, & Case were fun characters too who really helped more the story along. Like most stories I want more. I need to know what happens in college and how Wanda is doing. Definitely would recommend this book in a heartbeat.

I got an ARC of Surviving Adam Meade at SDCC 2018. What a cute, light read! I really enjoyed this book. It has a very authentic small town sports vibe. The romance was cute, though I would have liked to see a bit more development of a blossoming mature relationship. More characterization for some of the side characters. If you are looking for a light, romantic, feel good book, try this one!

*I received an ARC through a trade, but that in no way at ALL impacted my thoughts and feelings while writing this review.*

I loved this book more than I thought I would. I always enjoyed football books, but this one blew it out of the park. My standards have now been raised for all sports romance novels.

I loved how Claire wasn’t trying to change Adam, there was no “forbidden love”. This novel seemed real! The characters were true to themselves and were genuine. I loved Riley and Tate. The character development in this book was AMAZING. I just loved this so much. There was no love triangle,

I loved that even though Claire was the coach’s daughter, there was no hiding or secrets that needed to be kept. I liked that characters knew what their flaws were, I loved how family centered parts of the books were.

I love Adam. I just want to hug him.

If you love fun, swoony, sports romances with SO MUCH witty banter then this book is 100% for you!

This book just didn’t do it for me. The story wasn’t very original. Girl moves to new town, boy back home broke her heart and she swears off dating. Meets guy at a new school, they have a hate/love relationship. Have you read that before? The characters came off very one dimensional and this isn’t a story that's going to stay with me.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

3.5 stars.

It was quick and a cute story. Nothing life changing but I enjoyed reading it overall.

The good parts: I did think Adam and Claire were cute when they were actually talking nice and not fighting with eachother. I liked Riley- Claire’s new friend. And I loved Adam’s grandma. The sweetest.

The bad parts: Will say that Adam was just a big yikes. Honestly- a bit of a jerk. I’m not sure how to get around that. Yes- he has a past that has likely led to him being the way he is. But still. He is SO rude to Claire. He’s also wishy washy and back and forth with her. Almost like he is playing games. I was so confused by what he wanted and that was frustrating. I don’t like games. Claire does though- so I digress.

Also. Claire’s ex boyfriend - another big yikes. But again- I digress. Lastly - claire and her “past” with her ex is soooo small in my eyes and yet she acts like it’s this life altering situation and I cannot with her and her woe-is-me attitude.

Sighhhhhhh. Idk guys. I just don’t know.

I was sooo excited to get my hands on a published copy but I was disappointed. I did finish it but it’s just not how I remember it. I feel like it was too short and lacked explanation in the relationship I just felt like out of no where they were dating then broken up oh also in love? And it was wayyy too fast paced. I remember reading this on wattpad and LOVING Adam but he wasn’t what I remembered, he was such an underdeveloped character. Like all I can remember is: he loves football and his grandma. That’s literally it. There was a lot of room for more growth from both Adam and Claire

She is an amazing Author, I enjoy how snarky the main character is. This book is riveting and I felt so many emotions I felt all the emotions each character had. I laughed, almost cried but most importantly I felt joy throughout the book.

Cliche, cheesey, high school romance. Sorta predictable but still very fun to read.
