I think this has to be one of my fastest reads this year. The beginning through the middle had me turning pages quickly. But the twist was just so-so. I didn’t guess it (of course), but it was a bit disappointing. Still, it was more emotional compared to the other Freida M. books I’ve read so far. This has to be my least favorite book of hers.

Like the rest of Freida McFaddens books, I thought I knew what was coming, but the twists kept coming - one after another.
This is quirky, funny and a bit dark - all the good things I want out of a novel. I didn’t vibe with the characters as much as the others, hence the 4/5 stars, but I devoured it nonetheless.

Definitely a quick beach book, but worth it for the twists. My first McFadden book and I will be devouring her other books over the summer.
