 I loved the suspense aspect of this story. I love that even though this has a romance perspective to it, I enjoyed this story. Ace is amazing, But that Cree was something else. He was a good guy and loved how he was loyal. CCJ did a great job with her storytelling with this one.

Cree and Alicia’s situation is murky with him being a cop and given her background. Finding her sister was a joyous moment, but it was also sad given where she was coming from and being unwantingly pregnant.

I get that Alicia learned what she knew from the compound, but she needs therapy. I get that Kingston’s family took her in and treated her as a member of the family, but her past is haunting her.

I was screaming when Alicia told Cree to shut up and blow her back out, and he did, repeatedly, but the morning after was hilarious when she was looking at him like she could kill him.

I usually love CCJ books she’s one of my favorite authors but this book missed the mark for me. I really didn’t feel the connection between Alicia and Cree. And I disliked the pregnancy storyline with Cree and Loren it just felt unnecessary to the story.
