i'm crying i don't know what to say about this book like lowkey they were cute at times but at others like guys what is going on
ππΆπΏππ ππ΅πΌππ΄π΅π: This was a cute one and if your a fan of single dad your in the right place! Daddy aka Henry will be your new fav MC of the year, he is a total cinnamon roll who is also a hockey player. Iβm enjoy this series and love seeing the men of The Nest find their loves one by one.
Sometimes first love isnβt enough and when Henry got drafted to play hockey he had to let the love of his life go. She needed to find herself and following him wasnβt the path she needed to follow. But itβs been eight years and he has since adopted a child and has a success career playing for the Chicago Falcons but sheβll always be the one who got away.
Jade is home for a week to help her family out and she ends up at a bar with her friends. Somehow she gets roped into going into the back room where she ends up face to face with him. Henry wants to reconnect and hash out the past but Jade has other plans and dodges him.
But as always fate has other plans and Jade finds herself taking a temporary substitute teaching job and staying in town a bit longer. Itβs pretty karmic when Henryβs son walks in my her class. So her plan of avoiding Henry after all isnβt going to work.
Watch as these two rekindle their old flame but will it spark a new love or burn everything to ash once and for all.

Henry and Jade. Henry and Jade were childhood sweethearts that went their separate ways after college. Many years later, Henry has adopted a child, Bodhi, and Jade just came back after traveling the world taking pictures. Jade is only supposed to be home for a couple of months while she helps her mom after her surgery. When Jade and Henry cross paths, there is an instant connection again and one thing leads to another when old sparks still fly.
I loved this book. It was light hearted and sweet. My favorite parts of the book involved Bodhi. His chapters made me giggle and I loved it. The relationship between Jade, Henry, Bodhi was so cute, Bodhi was adorable and I loved how obsessed he was with getting Jade and Henry together.
