Daddy Henry!!!! Henry’s love for Jade just screams off the page, from even before Jade returns to his life.
The best part of this book is Bodhi’s POV. The chapters told from his adorable 6 year old brain is just too much to handle. I love kids in books, and to get to see thoughts so easily is the best.
I love the full cast of narrators. It’s great the each character from The Nest returns to play their part in the audio. JF and Brooke do a great job as Henry and Jade.
I am loving be a part of Piper Rayne’s ARC team. Thank you to them and Valentine PR for my copies of this book.

By now y’all know how much I luv me some Piper Rayne. I managed to sneak this read in before the New Year. It was such a great surprise of a treat when it hit my inbox. This was another fun read in The Nest series. It’s a heart warming, second chance, sports romance. The story follows the MCs Henry and Jade. However, Henry’s adorable son, Bohdi steals the show. Henry and Jade were childhood sweethearts who went their separate ways. Years later, Jade returns home and runs into Henry soon discovering that their chemistry still blazes. This was a greatly entertaining, steamy, and laugh out loud performance.

When I found out that Mr. Broody was about Daddy Henry, I ran so fast to sign up! I had so much fun with book one of this series, and I needed to know Henry’s story. And oh, what a story!
Henry Hensley plays for the Chicago Falcons hockey team, and his world is turned upside down when his high school sweetheart/ex-girlfriend, Jade Keebler, is back in town. Henry and Jade have a long history that has more layers than an onion, and neither knows how to act when they’re suddenly thrust into each others’ lives after a few years of silence. And now Henry has adopted the sweetest six-year-old boy. Bodhi had me wrapped around his finger in book one, and it doesn’t take long for Jade to fall for the him as well. But Bodhi’s father being Henry definitely throws a wrench in things.
I loved this second chance romance between these two. The flashes back to the past give the added depth of their friendship and relationship before things fell apart. And their reasonings were so real and understandable. Piper Rayne had me easily rooting for these two, and watching them reconnect was magical. The secondary characters are so much fun and the found family vibe was strong and delightful. I absolutely loved this story so much, and I’m so hyped for the sneak peek we got at what’s coming next!
🎧: I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook, and JF Harding and Brooke Bloomingdale and the secondary narrators provided an amazing cast for this book! This was my first time listening to both of the main narrators, and they did a great job. JF definitely channeled broody, yet lovestruck, Daddy Henry, and Brooke did a phenomenal job of portraying Jade’s fun-loving moments alongside her internal struggles. I love that we get an ensemble cast for this series, as there are so many great characters brought to life!
Thank you so much to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for the advance listener copy!

I had a good time with Mr. Heartbreaker, but Mr. Broody really stole my heart. It has everything I love about a single dad romance, and Piper Rayne wrote one of the most adorable kids I have read. Bodhi was so special, and I loved how he even got his own chapters. I am pretty picky when it comes to a second chance, but I have no complaints with this one. It was so effortless, and I actually felt the love they had from their younger years.
Henry and Jade were childhood friends turned sweethearts, but their relationship ended when Henry went to the NHL, and Jade traveled the world as a photographer. Henry ended things because he didn't want Jade to put off her dreams for him, but it broke both of their hearts. Jade has returned home after 8 years, avoiding her hometown and ran into Henry at the bar his hockey team frequents. They also kept running into each other when Jade took a short-term substitute teacher position for his adopted son's class. They can not deny the deep love they still have, and they try to give things another try.
They take things slowly because they don't want to hurt his son Bodhi if things don't work out. However, Bodhi is also trying to play matchmaker. He was the sweetest boy, and I loved his connection to Jade. Henry was such a swoon worthy hero, and he has just been waiting for Jade to come back into his life. I appreciated how they had great communication and really worked together on any issues.

I highly recommend the audiobooks for this series. It has a full cast of narrators performing duet narration, and they do an amazing job bringing each character to life. The main characters were narrated by JF Harding and Brooke Bloomingdale, who both brought the banter and heat. Teddy Hamilton also did a phenomenal job as Bodhi!
Also narrated by: Sean Masters, Connor Crais, Troy Duran, and CJ Bloom

Mr. Broody (The Nest #2) is a second chance, single parent romance.
Wonderfully written with great storytelling. I enjoyed Henry and Jade individually, and as a couple. Their chemistry was strong, even after years apart. I experienced many emotions throughout this story. Henry’s child was absolutely adorable, and I enjoyed his point of view. The found family dynamic was highly entertaining and they provided endless humor. I’m so excited for the next book in this series.
JF Harding and Brooke Bloomingdale were a great duo in portraying Henry and Jade. I’ve never listened to Brooke before, but I really enjoyed her narration. It was highly entertaining having Sean Masters, Connor Crais, Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom be a part of this audio as well.

This is a second chance at love, single dad, hockey world kind of book. If you like those items, this is your kind of book.
This continues right after Mr. Heartbreaker (ending scene starts the beginning scene of this book). Henry is a single dad who is also a professional hockey player. He loves his team and his son, but always thinks of his first love. Jade is a world traveling professional photographer who returns to Chicago to help out her family. She hopes that she doesn't run into her ex, but those hopes are destroyed right away.
After bumping into each other at the hockey players favorite bar, they seem to each other around town more and more, and to top it all off, when she becomes a substitute teacher, it is for Henry's son Bodhi's class.
Their chemistry is still there, but that was never the issue. Now Henry has a son, who wants a mother. He has to be careful with who he brings into his life. Jada is confused on what she wants (outside of being in Henry's arms) and knows she can have a life in Chicago, but will she regret it?
This is a fun read with cute antics from Bodhi who just wants his dad to be happy (and if he gets a mom out of it, what's wrong with that). But there is some heavy talk about finding one self. Still enjoyed every bit, and can't wait for the next book with that cliffhanger at the end. Dang!!!
