Hockey romance girlies, we are truly being FED!! Piper Rayne has done it again and is quickly becoming one of my auto-read authors! This was such a wonderful second chance romance read. It is the second in the ‘The Nest Series’. I love the bond between Jade & Henry and Bodhi owns my heart, he’s absolutely adorable and I love their little family. I love how involved the hockey team was with Bodhi as well. It was heartwarming seeing them all as one big family. This story will tug at your heartstrings in all the right ways and leave you absolutely in love with the little family they’ve created. This is a great read for anyone who loves second chance romance, hockey romance, friends to lovers, and single dad.

This single-dad, second-chance, slow burn romance is yet another gem in The Nest series! The audiobook, narrated by a full cast, beautifully brought each character to life, adding so much depth and emotion to the story.
I especially adored little Bodhi's POV chapters--they were heartfelt, endearing, and added a very unique perspective that made the book even more special.
Mr. Broody packs an emotional punch while delivering the perfect blend of love, growth, and redemption. A must-read (and listen) for fans of the series!

LOVED THIS!!!!! I’m not usually a fan of the childhood sweethearts trope… but this?!? *chef’s kiss*! This book gave all the best feels!
I love that many of the characters from the first book keep making appearances and ofcourse ends on a cliff hanger with hints of the next book.
Absolutely love duel POV books, BUT THIS HAD BOHDI’S POV!!!! LOVED. IT. 👦🏼
The audio cast was amazing. Huge fan of Brooke Bloomingdale.

Then we get a second chance romance on top of all of that. Henry and Jade are childhood best friends turned lovers through high school and college. It is a classic tale of, if you love someone so much you need to let them go and they will come back to you.
Jade doesn’t know who she is or what she wants out of life other than being with Henry. So he gives her up so she can travel and find herself. And she does but she is dealing with heartbreak and doesn’t want to return to home in fear of running into Henry again.
Henry has two loves in his life, his 6 year old adoptive son and Jade. She is the one for him and he still hopes she will come back to him. Little did he know they would be running into each other a lot since she is back to help out her mother.
I loved these two, you could feel their connection and their love. You just knew they were meant to be and throwing Bodhi’s sweet little self. I loved his schemes to get them together so he could have a mother in his life.

Another Hockey Romance from Piper Rayne? YES PLEASE

Henry and Jade are childhood best friends to college lovers, then the ones who got away. Life was just so crazy for the two of them.
I'm FERAL for a second chance romance, especially one where the two characters seem to pick up right where they left off...which is what basically happens except there's one thing that complicates it. Henry's young son Bohdi. We even get a few chapters from Bohdi's perspective, which are ADORABLE. Seeing Jade & Henry fall for each other all over again through Bohdi's eyes was not something I knew I needed.
Jade & Henry are the definition of true love. Once they realized that the years spent apart were still important, they fought hard to make things work.
The Epilogue had my jaw on the GROUND
Switched off between the audiobook and e-book and let me say...the audio book is WORTH IT (minus the grown man pretending to be Bohdi. I know hiring a child is not ideal, but I am never really a fan of someone voicing someone who they are not. I had to read Bohdi's chapters on my Kindle for the best experience). The full cast audiobooks are to die for and loved the other voice actors for all of the Falcons and their partners!

I think this has to be my favorite Piper Rayne book yet, and I’ve read almost all of their books! Mr Broody is book two in their new “The Nest” series featuring a group of Chicago hockey players who live in an apt complex above a bar. I love a good second chance romance and Jade and Henry’s was so good! Their original reason for breaking up made sense in hindsight. I appreciated the chapters from Henry’s son, Bodhi - such a cute addition. This one was pretty low-drama which was just what I needed, and though it’s their longest book yet I sped right through. If you’re looking for a second chance, found family, spicy, sports romance, add this series to your TBR! I Received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

I adored Henry’s relationship to his son, Bohdi, and loved getting the backstory to his adoption. Watching Jade and Bohdi’s relationship develop was heartwarming. And Bohdi’s POV chapters were great little sprinkles throughout! Loved them!!

And I ate it up.
