The Nest series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.  I love the world, and each couple has not been a disappointment.

Have been interested in Henry’s story since we first met him.  What we get is answers, angst, and second chance at love.  Bodhi and his uncle bring the humor and the shenanigans.

This is Jade and Henry’s story, while the chemistry has always been there the conversations have not.  They take “it’s complicated” to the extreme.  They have to work out their feelings, and teammates, family help them to put it all together.  I will say there is a slow burn, but once it ignites, wow!

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Hockey romance is my go-to this winter. Piper Rayne wrote a great stand-alone book with two characters with a history together coming back together. There is now a little boy involved so things are more complicated than just renewing a relationship.

I enjoyed the story and seeing Henry and Jade figure out what a future together could entail. Bodhi was included in each step of their future, I love the attention he got. The secondary characters (Henry’s teammates mostly) were the perfect addition to this book. I love how they lived in The Nest together and were involved in each other’s lives constantly but knew when it was time for space.

Piper Rayne wrote a fun romance book with plenty of steamy scenes, so much sweetness, and great family and friends.

This series has my heart and so do Piper and Rayne’s newest couple! This second installment in The Nest Series has us catching up w/ our favorite Falcons players and falling in love w/ another adorably angsty couple. Henry and Jade’s second chance romance is just perfect and I couldn’t get enough of Bodhi’s precious, little scheming heart! And Henry and Jade have that HEA chemistry that leaves you rooting for their return to each other after their years apart.

This one was a bit of a slow burn for me, but once the heat builds up, 😮‍💨 watch out for Henry’s mouth, b/c “Daddy’s” dirty talk is **chef’s kiss! Along w/ the heat, this one also had me in my feels while Jade and Henry work through their feelings of self-doubt w/ the help of the team, their families and each other.

The audiobook for the first book was sooo good, so I can’t wait to grab the audio for this one too! I’m so excited to hear the cast bring Piper and Rayne’s characters to life and I know Teddy Hamilton is going to nail it when he brings back his voice acting skills for Bodhi!!

Mr. Broody is a perfectly delightful, swoon worthy, second chance romance! Piper Rayne takes two beloved characters from the past and finally gives them a happily ever after that is full of romance and sweetness. Their writing is clear and conversational, their characters are interesting and dynamic, and this romance feels like a cozy warm hug! Mr. Broody is well balanced with rediscovery, understanding and trust. I adore the fact that Piper Rayne has approached this second chance in a way that feels fresh and free of animosity. These two characters love each other, have loved each other for a long time, and now they are both finally in a place where they can recommit to the other.

This novel was really easy to fall into and enjoy. I loved watching Henry and Jade find their way back to each other. I also adored the fact that Henry is an adoptive father and his son is absolute perfection! The layer of this six year old who is longing for a connection with a mother-like figure is adorable and sweet, bringing a heartwarming element to this low angst love story. Bohdi also brings a fun perspective and playfulness to Henry and Jade's romance. I loved watching these three build a new and stronger family unit. I loved that Henry was this hero who only wanted what is best for Jade and Bohdi. I love that Henry does not jump to conclusions. I love that he sees the strength and love that Jade has for Bohdi and that he sees that as a gift.

If a low angst, single father, hockey star romance is something that you are interested in than look no further than Mr. Broody. You are sure to find your next favorite and you will also be delighted with the potential of future novels that are in the works! Piper Rayne is a duo team who is well worth the read if you are in the mood for sweet and sensual romances that will leave you with a full and happy heart!

3.5/5 stars for this cute second chance romance!

Jade and Henry are reunited after their childhood friendship turned romance ended. Henry is now a pro hockey player with an adopted son - Jade is doubting her life path.

What I loved about this book was that it was more about self-discovery than just romance. It was finding yourself outside your relationship in order to truly thrive with the person you love. It was a beautiful theme throughout. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the connection between these two characters was as strong as they should have been. It felt forced at times and like they were two tortured souls who didn’t match.

That being said, the growth these two had throughout was enjoyable to read, and the Brodhi chapters were some of the best!

Well, this book just filled my heart with so much love. I can’t even take it! Connor a.k.a. Daddy is someone you fall in love with so easily. His and Jade’s history is beautiful. They’re definitely some bumps on the road and some growing pain, but I love the way they reconnect and pick up right where they left off. I would not be doing this book justice if I didn’t give a shout out to Bodhi the cutest kid ever written. I love that he is a few chapters from his perspective.

Thank you Piper Rayne for an eARC copy of Mr. Broody! Here is my honest review!

There's not much I love more than a single dad, second chance, no third act break up , hockey romance. This one hit ALLL of my boxes! I loved Jade and Henry and their complicated past. I loved sweet Bodhi and how we got his POV a couple of times as well! I loved how they had such a support system with their friends and Jade's parents (seriously I want to have a sit down with Reed and let him impart allll his wisdom to me!). It was just so good!

"Daddy" Henry Halsey has his hands full as a professional hockey player and single dad. His heart though....that could be a bit more full. He secretly pines after his lost love Jade who he dated through high school and college. Even after 8 years, he still loves her.

Jade Keebler is back in Chicago after years abroad. She's back home and while is excited to help her family after her moms surgery she's nervous about potentially running into her ex, Henry, who is still close to her family after all these years. Add in the fact that Henry is now a dad to a 7 year old with his own life outside of what they had together she's not sure if she'll ever fit in anywhere again.

Are they doomed to stay separated after years of pining for one another? Or can true love really conquer all?
