Listen, Im ALL for characters holding each other accountable and male love interests groveling after they fucked up, but the way everyone in the book went at it was just so so repetitive, at some point I wanted her to forgive them out of sheer annoyance and not because there was any real character development
I am a real sucker for RH. Before reading this part I reread the first part so I could dive in the book while still being in Pandora’s world.

Pandora really can find the good in almost everyone… but it’s not too sudden. She takes her time and that makes it realistic.
Even though the book mentions some pretty difficult themes (trauma, abuse) it is done in a really respectful way.
I have to admit that normally the books I read are pretty dark. But after binge reading the series Fate Hollow Academy I really wanted to read more from Lyra.
The ending made me almost pull out my hair. I like a cliffhanger but am still sad (and impatient waiting for the next book).

What happened? The first book had pacing and distinct characters and I blazed through it in a day. This book is so repetitive and boring it's taken 3 weeks just to get 50% of the way through. And nothing has happened in that time except pandora repeating her trauma to absolutely everyone and reminding 3 of her guys how much they bullied her at every opportunity and then them crying and apologizing on their knees and her brushing them off only to do it again 20 pages later. I can't tell any of them apart anymore. I don't care about any of these characters or the big bad Black Veil or the relationships at all at this point and can't even force myself to skim to the end because I'd still have to reread the same trauma dump - crying apology - super special princess cycle over and over again.

This book was awesome. I enjoyed every bit of it and cannot wait for the next one to come out! Demon Reform Academy: Term 2 has it all and then some!! please do not miss the chance to read it; you will be greatly rewarded.

The author only tells and rarely shows. I won’t be reading the next one. The voices of the 3 dark students are exactly the same. Only the professor has a different voice. I feel like this author could have had a solid series and plot if she had a really solid editor. Done with the series.
