Tried it out because my best friend loves it and it did not click whatsoever. Maybe it was the translation (read in German) that weakened the text, but otherwise so little happens that it seems like Coelho wrote this as a first draft. (Didn't he write this in like 2 werks?)
Fatima is underdeveloped and really seems to exist as a plot device.
Skimmed through the last 40 pages to just finish it.
It has the merit of not being the absolute worst thing I've ever read nor is it objectively harmful
