Enlightening and engaging. Like a month of therapy in itself. I will return to this book regularly.

TBH I was too busy to read this before I had to return it to the library.

There might be something useful in here, I'm not sure, but the fixation on the gender binary is really making it not useful to me, an agender person. Beyond that I also found the categories of perfectionism kinda iffy and there's a big push of this book to disconnect from mental disorders like adhd and ocd and anxiety disorders despite there being a huge amount of overlap. I kinda respect the concept of not wanting to say something is wrong but to work within your natural inclinations, but I don't think it helps to pretend it's all coming from a neutral state.

If you don’t need to be convinced that it’s great to be a perfectionist (and hard), start with chapter 7! I have found this book incredibly helpful as I work through my shit.
