I thought it was alright. 

FMC annoyed me a lot, expecially after she fell "in love". It was like she lost sight of who she was after that. I liked that she was impulsive and it had both strength and weakness. I also likes that she had good instincts in areas. But she makes a decision that just makes zero sense. At all. 

MMC felt....vacant. He was just there. 

When the book was described to me, they said "think Hunger Games but for adults" and I agree with that synopsis. 

I'll read the other books. I am curious to see where this leads.

Fun and fast to read, I flew through it in two days. 

Plot was decent, even if I saw almost all of the plot twists coming except for one. 

Definitely not spicy, enemies to lovers, or slow burn like people say, more like instalove. 

I liked it, just left me a bit confused about who’s actually good or bad. 

FMC was good but also kept making choices that made me think “why the fuck would you do that?”

MMC was okay… he didn’t really stand out and I didn’t feel the love between them, it just… happened.

Im still rooting for her and Kaine.

The politics confused me. 

A lot of Divergent x Hunger Games x Fourth Wing x Powerless cross over and comparisons for me. 

I will be reading the rest of the series because I’m interested in where this goes.
