Had potential since Tomasi was amazing! Rough around the edges… what we’ve come to expect from MMC in this genre…
FMC on the other hand had promise since she was supposed to be in her 40’s. Boy was that a let down!
She had waaaaaaaaaay too many inner monologues, no sense of self preservation… basically acted like an out of control teen looking for toxic ways for a boy to like her… and to be in her 40? It was disappointing to no end 😩 because most characters are barely 21 and so dumb! Well, Tomasi was amazing! Narration was great hence the 3.5. I think it would have been worse or DNF had I read it…

This series just gets better with each book. I loved Rylee and Tomas. They fell into a love hate relationship that almost cost both of them more than they had to give. He was so angry, and she wanted to help. This book was full of highs and lows... and the ending!!! OMG I didn’t see that coming!
