I went into this book without necessarily even knowing what it was about, I just saw some comments about it being disturbing.
Happy to say it didn't disappoint. Everything happening felt
completely insane considering this is a book about kids. I loved the ending and the fact the plot is really just a bloodbath with no good ending.

YO only 160 pages but it felt like a thousand pages for being soooooo WORDY?! and boring btw.
i picked this book in hope that i can finish one book this week but this was the reason i almost had a slump.

god, it was so slow and wordy! i get it, if you want to be ‘profound’ pls don't include killings/murder sprees in your book.
i am seeking for thrill but it was really boring and it's not even dark!! (atleast not for me)
i guess people said disturbing bcs the killer was only a child and managed to kill his classmates and elders !! what a twisted mind that kid enzo have.

“So we will try to be as precise as possible, so that you can more clearly picture the scene that follows, so that you can fully experience what it would mean to be immobilized.” — this part was absolutely good to read. the last scene where the boar completely killed the antagonist. those last 10 pages or so were great. that was the only thing in this book that i liked.

I have nothing good to say about this book and if I launch into critiques this will turn into a novel (which will be a better read than this one).
Seriously, this book has no redeeming qualifies. If you are looking for a disturbing horror, there are better out there.

A group of 12 six year old and 3 adult chaperones go on a camping trip into the European wilderness, but none of them make it out alive.

This book will not be for everyone, but it was for me. The violence was incredibly graphic, but somehow still felt meaningful and not written solely for the purpose of shock value. It's a delicate dance when an author can take such a depressing and gory idea and balance it with readability, without going overboard. This was tense, fast-paced, and heartbreaking. I could not stop listening to it, even though I had to suspend belief in reality at times.

This book absolutely devastated me. While I knew from the get go that it wouldn’t end well. I wasn’t expecting this level of despair, an on the verge of tears feeling while reading.

I think this is a book I’m going to be thinking about for a long long time. I can’t even think about how to write a review, I honestly can’t describe how I’m feeling in words.

I took off a star just for the fact it absolutely destroyed me. 4/5 stars.

A very dark story about twelve six year olds and their three adult chaperones who head into the woods on a camping trip. None of them make it out alive.........I loved this book. I'm glad I didn't know much going into this book.
A haunting book that tugged at my heart strings. A very quick read that once it started didn't let up until the very end!
