I read Just For The Summer First which is actually the third installment in this series but fine as a stand alone. I liked this book, but felt parts of Just For The Summer would not have been as impactful if I had read this first. That said, not much was spoiled for me in this book by having read the third one first.

Part of Your World is a reverse Cinderella story.  Alexis is royalty, in a way.  She is part of a family that has a big name in the medical community and a 125-year legacy.  Daniel is a carpenter and small town mayor who also runs a bed and breakfast.  Fog, a raccoon, and a bet conspire to bring Alexis and Daniel together.  Sparks fly and they feel an immediate connection.  How can this relationship work when they are literally from two very different worlds?

Characters were well developed.  Most of the characters were lovable.  Some were despicable.

One of the things I enjoyed the most was that I couldn't predict how it was going to end.  I found the ending to be extremely satisfying.

This book does deal with abusive relationships -  both psychological abuse and physical abuse.  It might be triggering to someone who is going through or has gone through similar situations.

Includes discussion questions for book clubs.

Recommended for people who like to read romances that seem destined to fail before they start and people who like to read books set in a small town.

It was such a cute story! It feels like I'm on vacation at Wakan every time Alexis goes there. Such a breath of fresh air. I really enjoyed and loved it!

I can't wait to read the next books in this series 🥰

OH WHAT A SWEET BOOK !!! small town men you never fail me. daniel is literally luke danes with softer personality and i LOVEEEEE him for that <3 abby jimenez i'm sorry i doubted you bcs of the reverse age gap trope but that turns out to be what makes this book SO funny. i love the fact that abby has such a diverse personality characters, even a privileged woman who never does her chores (ik sounds bad but some people actually lived that life) yet alexis still DELIVERED A BABY ??? queen fr. i knew i've always loved brianna she's a comedian !!! also fuck alexis's family and neil.

Daniel is a sweetie I loved him. As with many romance books I’ve read, a lot of hurt could have been avoided by just a bit more honesty/conversation esp on Alexis’ part. But her reasoning was valid so I don’t fault it as much.

Kudos to Jimenez for tackling so many different forms of abuse in a meaningful way. Very real and raw and I hope it has helped people recognize patterns potentially in their own lives/relationships.

Okay, I'm very glad I gave Abby Jimenez another chance. I DNF'd The Friend Zone, and I stand by that choice, but this was so much better. I could see almost from the beginning how this story was going to end, and that didn't matter a bit. I normally don't even like insta-love type romances like this, but it worked here. Daniel is my kind of love interest, he was so emotionally mature and considerate. I thought the humor was actually pretty solid and I laughed out loud a few times. I was frustrated with  Alexis, but I understood her. I found a lot more of this story relatable than I expected. The audiobook was really good, I especially liked the male narrator.
