I heart this story so hard!!! With its witty snark banter and epic feels it was just my cup of tea. I loved Jude from book 1 in this series and was looking forward to his HEA. There's just something about him that just makes you love him.

Jude's flat floods in the start of this story and weird circumstances come to him staying with a famous movie star Asa for a few months to work as his PA while its being repaired. Unfortunately Asa is none too pleased once he finds out Jude is a model since he has a bad personal history with someone from that profession. He immediately assumes Jude is just another self absorbed airhead. You know what they say about assuming? Well Jude does everything in his power to facilitate this thought and its utterly hilarious.

Asa eventually realizes his mistake in judging Jude and the two strike up a friendship which eventually morphs into more. It was lovely to watch. Asa is such a big squish with a big heart and smile. You can tell he adores Jude. As does his 5 year old son Billy who I must say is very intelligent for his age. He added to the story in delightful ways.

We do have the big misunderstanding to go through, but it doesn't last long and the two MCs find their way. The epilogue is 2 years in the future and is sweet as pie. I loved it.

Next up is Henry and I am just salivating for his story!

This one was okay. I didn’t like it as much as the first one but didn’t dislike it either. There was something that was keeping me from loving it.

Billy was awesome. Jude and Asa were great but their story was a bit too long and stagnant. There was a lot of nothing happening for a good chunk of the book.

Ok Lily you have my attention. I adored this book. First of all, just like book 1, I love the humor. Any book that can make me audibly laugh multiple times is a winner. Asa and Jude were both great main characters with interesting backgrounds, understandable amounts of baggage, and great sexual and emotional chemistry. Billy was one of the cutest kids I've read in a romance and really added to the story. I mean, I'm not a child behavior expert or anything but he didn't seem unrealistically written. Overall, there was a lot of tenderness in this book that caught me by surprise given the snarkiness of the humor. Super sweet moments that made my heart ache without being saccharine. Even the 3rd act conflict made sense to me..slightly annoying but not super drawn out or anything

This would've been a full 5 star but the ending dragged for me. And this is coming from someone who loves seeing the couple after they get together. I live for a good epilogue. But this one just went on a bit too long or something idk. I might not have noticed it in a different book but the pacing was so strong for the first 85-90% that it stood out to me.

I just love when I find an author with writing that just clicks for me. Definitely will be reading through this series and finding other Lily Morton books in the future.

I wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed with the first book. Strangely, I was so disappointed in being let down by a popular m/m fan favorite, that I was unable to abandon the series. So I read the second book, and I’m ecstatic that I did. This is a wonderful story with wonderful characters and a wonderful vibe. Unlike my typical read in this genre, the humor in this book is freaking hilarious. I’m always prepared to cringe at lame sarcasm and uninventive bylines, but Lily Morton’s brand of humor is original, intelligent, and so darn funny.

Could have done without the epilogue, it wasn't bad I was just bored. I guess I preferred their banter and gradual falling for one another then their actual being together because I wasn't really feeling it. I did enjoy the book though and Jude and Billy's relationship was my favourite thing in it.

I have mixed feelings. This was soo good, but ultimately my rating is only 3 because I found myself skimming through. LOVED the MCs personalities and the story flow, but i found the writing a bit annoying i guess.

The four star rating remains, tho I will say that I was more frustrated by their lack of communication on the audio re-read. The great parts were still great, and I love the humor of the beginning and the romance of the middle, and I'm happy that they're happy in the end.

I suppose if I didn't care about the characters, I wouldn't care if they would just TALK to each other, but . . . yeah.

One more reread to go and then I'll finally dive in to Vow Maker!
