This is my second reading of this book but a new translation. I spent the year with Rilke (and Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy.) It won't be the end of my time with dear Rilke... I look forward to picking up another translation and spending time with Rilke next year as well!

Only read Rilke's letters - will read Kappus's once I reread it. Wanted to enjoy his letters this way

I read this in one sitting on a train. Then I read it again on the train ride back later that night. And since then, I've opened to any random page and read while waiting in lines, at the doctor's office, at the bus stop. I think I'll always be reading this book in one way or another.
