A beautifully written piece of historical fiction! Well fleshed-out characters and a plot interlaced with Greek myths made this a novel a joy to read. Perfect for fans of (as another review has pointed out) Sarah Perry!

He stumbles upon a blue-eyed old man who advised he seeks Pandora, the daughter of an esteemed antiquarian couple.
A bit of Mythology, Historical Fantasy and a slow burn romance in one good mix

I love this book and throughly enjoyed it from start to finish. In fact I read the last chapter several times because I didn't want to part with it yet.
Stokes-Chapman's narrative is entrancing, the plot well executed and the characters lovable. And she creates and holds suspense to just that sweet spot where you kind of know where things are going but actually, are as sure it can go anywhere.
This might be entirely flawless, but is one to reread for me.

I feel like it ended quite abruptly, without tying up all of the plot.
But otherwise a very good historical story!
