Loved this book! I related to part of it if not knowing my family and having a different view of them! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny & serious at times. I think Pirate is my favorite character. He always had me laughing
I knew I would enjoy this one from the moment Lizzie's dog Pirate starts talking to her. He certainly added a lot to the story n the comic relief department.This book does require a slightly higher suspension of disbelief, but when you're talking about witches, demons, and demonslayers, I think that's par for the course. This was a quick and fun read. I enjoyed seeing Lizzie change and accept her newfound powers, and liked the unusual choice of a griffin for her love interest. It's not something that's tired and overdone in today's paranormal romances.
I don't know what is off about this book. It should have been hilarious and while I recognized the humor it only got lip twitches from me. I will keep reading. The story was okay enough, maybe I wasn't in the right mood. Usually humor book with romance are my favorite.
Fun book. It has romance for those who really like reading that, but not too much for my taste (I'm find with a little romance in my fantasy, not big on straight up romance). I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
What would it be like to live a life where you have it basically scheduled down to the minute for everything and then the day you turn 30 find out you are a demon slayer and your whole life turns upside down? That's what happens here to Lizzie. This book isn't overly exciting but it keeps a steady pace for action and a storyline to find out more about the main characters. I'll definitely be checking out more of the books in the series!
It's neither good nor bad. There are some good things in it, but it often feels forced and rushed. Turned out to just not be my thing, but I get why some people love it.
