Seemed mostly to be a therapy fanfiction, dealing with everything from self-worth to healthy communication in relationships to religious trauma. Almost a tidal wave of positivity and therapy-speak. It was cozy in that the characters were emotionally healthy and their day to day lives were 90% of the plot; whereas external conflict took up the other 10%. I wanted to read the book because I am such a fan of the TikTok skits. If I wasn’t already in love with the characters, I don’t know if I would have liked the book as much as I did.

Was it a literary masterpiece? No.
But it was a most beautiful Slice of (After)Life style novel that I absolutely adored. It's a long one, but it's one I know I'll be rereading time and time again.

This book is the perfect example of a book that just wraps you up in a hug. It made me laugh, cry, and want to scream at a certain side character at the very end (looking at you Lev). This book was such a refreshing break from some of the heavier books I have read this year. Brava Jaysea for such a wonderful book, I can’t wait for the next one

What a good time of a read. It was such a fun experience to go through the day to day with lily and the afterlife experience. It was fun and funny, and emotional, and raw, and I loved every page.

I don't typically leave a review with my rating, but this was everything I hoped it would be. I've followed the stories on TikTok and have loved the characters. This book was so much more. I laughed, I cried, I blushed and I loved. I wasn't in a reading slump perse, more of a reading plateau, and this majorly brought me out of it. I cannot wait for more.
