Another 5 star from Sharma! I laughed all throughout and was at the edge of my seat regarding the mystery plotline. Loved the two MCs and I was so happy to still get plenty of the couple from the first book. This book also did a wonderful job at building a whole world around the MCs backstories that was compelling and complex. We got satisfying conclusions, a very sweet ending, and an epilogue that has me running for book 3.

This was definitely a primo example of the whole thing about how hate and love are two sides of the same coin because I feel like Bunty and Bobbi bounced back & forth and hated & forgave each other almost too quickly, but I did love their chemistry. I was also a big fan of the "mystery" aspect of the storyline, figuring out who was sabotaging Prem & Kareena's wedding. I just hope there was a resolution between Bunty and his family!

All of the characters have the same personality, and it’s very little personality at that. Ultimately it was fine, but I didn’t really care what happened to them.

Body-Inclusive Contemporary Desi Romance explicitly based on Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”. I liked that this novel included elements of the economics of romance-novel universes and that the main characters’ relationship developed not in isolation or even confined to a couple of friends but genuinely had input/engagement within their families and community overall.

I think it's fair to say that I enjoyed Tastes like Shakkar even more than Dating Dr. Dil! Bunty and Bobbi set the pages sizzling with all their banter and spicy flirting sessions while making roti. But what I loved most about this story is the open communication between Bunty and Bobbi. I was very impressed with how mature their relationship was despite the long distance. Even with the third act conflict I could empathize with Bunty trying to find the balance between familial expectations and personal goals/dreams. This was such a treat to read!

Thank you to Avon and Nisha Sharma's PR team for the ARC in exchange for a fair review.
