I found this one to be hard to get through. A lot of the bull**** was just plan annoying, and even though the reveal was obvious, I enjoyed the journey getting there.

I liked this book better than book 1 in the series. The MMC wasn’t as cocky and was more tied to his family’s expectations of what he should be doing rather than what he wanted to do as a career. I like how he admired the fire in the FMC and every inch of her body (despite an early incident of mistaken fatphobia). The FMC has to convince her uncle that she is good enough at her job and stand up to his outsized expectations also. The sabotage plot was frustrating but kept the book moving. And the kink negotiation and exploration made this book spicier than one might expect.
