Loved this one even better than the first book in the series! The representation of Indian culture was really well done and I loved the talk about food throughout this book. Bobbi and Benjamin were a fun couple, angsty and not easy on each other but they seemed to fit together so well. I loved the element of mystery regarding the wedding sabotager and the way it all played out was hilarious and well done. Such a fun listen on audio!

The first half was so nice but then the second half just dragged on. Bobbi and Bunty were cute and I loved them however Prem and Kareena are still my top couple in this series so far.
The way their relationship developed through text messages was everything and I loved their banter. Plot wise this book was kinda all over the place though. It was difficult to keep track of certain things. Some plot lines were irrelevant for example the fact that someone wanted to sabotage kareena and prem’s wedding.
Overall the representation was good and I loved the food

This book kind of dragged once the main couple got together. The initial tension was gone and most of it was them being in a ldr. There were also some really corny dialogue and moments.

In this second part, Nisha draws inspiration from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Personally, I found this book less addictive than the debut of the trilogy (maybe I was expecting too much from a badass like Bobby), but it definitely creates big hype for Veera and Deepak’s follow-up story.

The B&B story explores family dynamics, family business, and how roles are defined, with a special mention to those considered the family's buffer. Nisha’s core theme is still the expectations placed on immigrant kids.

I must say I liked the Rani concept; babe is taking second place.
Bunty and Bobby’s story captures the frustrations of long-distance relationships, with its dose of sweat and passion.
The B&B couple promotes going after what you need, not what’s expected of you.
Bobby teaches you to be driven.
Bunty teaches you to be your true self.

Thank you Avon for an ARC copy in exchange of an honest review.

I was wondering how was Nisha Sharma going to top Dating Dr Dill.. & OMG! Tastes Like Shakkar is just an addicting page turner!

The Aunties are back! Kareena and Prems wedding is in the backdrop of Bobbi and Bunti hilarious hopelessly romantic story, With a bang on family drama and a mysterious Shaadi Saboteur >_<

I can honestly say that I laughed out loud so much throughout the novel and I couldn’t emotionally handle Bobbi’s and Bunti’s dynamic! Their family and emotional struggles of being the kids of immigrant parents and having to feel as it’s their ultimate job to make everyone else happy but themselves.

Once I started reading page 1 I just simply couldn’t stop. Bobbi and Buntis chemistry was so incredibly perfect. The way they got in each others nerves, flirt with each other and ultimately their process of realizing that they are perfect for each other and that they will need to come to the conclusion that it is time for them to put themselves FIRST! & give their love a chance. *internally screaming*

I need you all to pre order this one because it’s a BANGER! From begging till end! So much that I’m sitting here waiting for book 3 to come out because I NEED VEERA’S STORY ✨NOW✨

This one made me a little emo. Being the person that gives a lot to everyone, and often leaves little for herself, I resonated with Bobbi. I love the way Nisha writes and I love the way her stories unfold. This one was beautiful and lovely and sexy, just the way I like it.

Tastes Like Shakkar by Nisha Sharma 2nd book in the If Shakespeare was an Auntie series. Contemporary romance. Own voice, Indian. Can be read as a stand-alone but better in series order. This story is the wedding of the couple from the first book. A retelling and Play off of Much Ado About Nothing.

Bobbi Kaur is an event Planner. She is Planning to give her best friend an epic event that she'll be able to remember with fondness. Bobbi has two major Problems to overcome. First, she'll need to work with Benjamin "Bunty" Padda and the two of them have been like oil and water since their younger days. And second, and most Problematic, there is someone trying to sabotage thee wedding. Bobbi calls in the aunties to search out the guilty Person that is messing with the wedding Plans.

Bobbi and Bunty, sitting in a ....restaurant, realize working together may actually be more fun that anticipated.

A sexy and fun book as the two clash and then Play on their attraction to each other, Conflicts and family issues can make arguments interesting and making up all the sweeter.

Filled with lots of cultural references on clothing, food and life. I Personally learned a lot and look forward to the next book in the series.
