4.5 stars. Catching up with this one via Libby audio before the third book comes out in a few weeks.
Much Ado About Nothing is my fave Shakespeare comedy, so I was a bit nervous about the adaptation, but I think Nisha really hit it out of the park. If you know the play, you can hear the original dialogue underneath the 21st century updates (the first meeting of Beatrice and Benedick in the play and then the scene where Don Pedro asks Beatrice to marry him were two standouts in this update). The dialogue between Bobbi and Bunty really snapped imo.
I particularly loved how Nisha turned the (frankly icky) Don John slut-shaming plot of Hero and Claudio from the original play into a mini-whodunnit for Bobbi and Bunty to solve because someone is trying to sabotage Prem and Kareena's wedding and it has a DELIGHTFUL reveal.
Also, much spicier than I had expected (not sure why I expected less kink, I have read Nisha before) but that Bunty, what a kinky boy. Who knew? *smirk*

I loved Bobbi in the previous book so getting to have her in her absolute element was amazing. She is top-tier talent making these events the most detailed and gorgeous for her clients and she does nothing less for Kareena's wedding. Getting more of Benjamin and her together was so great because they have this instant connection, and it goes wrong and then they absolutely cannot stand each other but are so attracted to each other. I really loved delving into a story where both people are very successful at what they do and pretty tethered to certain places. Bunty is more bicoastal; Bobbi is really in the New Jersey/New York area and seeing them have to figure out how to make that work was really great. I just love when they get together. The ropes! We love it!

Such a beautiful story about the difficulties of being a child of immigrants trying to grow businesses in a world not designed for them with a great love story weaved in. It's amazing that the author is able to write a fairly heavy topic, including racism and fatphobia while also writing incredibly hot sex scenes. I have nothing more to say besides *chef's kiss* and I can't wait to read the next one.

It’s a south asian romance fiction book. Emphasis on the romance and there are intimate scenes, as a heads up to the reader. Overall, really touches well on the identity of being a second generation south asian growing up! Also touches on inter generational family issues. Great mysterious plot filled with fun, emotional, friendship top tier moments! Centered around love, family and friends and a bunch of Indian aunties… this was a fun read!

This is a gem. Nisha Sharma is officially on my read-anything-she-writes list. The relationships are all great- love to see the Aunties in action and that Bobbie got her time in the spotlight- with Benjamin!
