Wow. This one was WORLDS BETTER than the first one. I was on the fence about the plus-size aspect of things, especially as a former plus-size woman who still struggles with an eating disorder. Overall, I think the author did an incredible job at highlighting the beauty of a plus size woman, without focusing too much on her size or making it the main focus. I will say, if you have an eating disorder, or food is a trigger for you, this may not be the book for you, because food is a huge topic of conversation throughout the entire book. Some of the comments/descriptors are a tad triggering, and it was one thing that I found gave me the ick several times. Instead of focusing on Bobbi being plus size, there were several overly sexual comments about food? It just didn’t sit well with me HAHA. Anyways, Bobbi is such a boss ass babe, and Benji is a king. I really enjoyed them both so much from the beginning (besides their initial miscommunication that had my walls go up). THE SPICE IS INNNSAAAAANNNNEEEEEEEEE. Would recommend this over book #1 any day!

Things I liked:

Including complicated themes of family responsibilities, vocation vs. identity, and how to navigate long-distance (or not).

There were parts that were more stressful than I would have liked, but all in all a great South Asian retelling of “Much Ado About Nothing.”

I liked this book so much more than Dating Dr. Dil. The characters felt more mature.  Bobbi and Benjamin communicated like real adults. I’m glad I gave Nisha Sharma another chance. She really knows how to write a good spicy scene

I adored this!! Bunty and Bobbi's relationship was so sweet. I loved them both as characters individually as well as together. I loved the representation of Bobbi as a plus sized woman, and as a slight workaholic. Bunty was... well Bunty had me blushing far too much for a man conveyed through ink on dried tree mush. The throne scene???? Deceased.

I loved the cameos of characters from the previous book, and although I loved the 'mystery' as a backdrop it wasn't a particularly developed plot line and mostly served to force the MCs into a room together, though I appreciated that.

This isn't as in depth a review as usual as I accidentally waited a week after finishing this to write it and my brain is mush that doesn't hold information for anywhere near long enough, but just know that I 100% recommend this, fantastic and so excited for Marriage and Masti!!

I’m more than ecstatic for the 3rd book in this series. I don’t even have words.
