i wish nisha sharma didn't fall into the trap i feel like a lot of desi romance authors fall into where they over-explain things about our culture. this, with the fact that i felt a lot of the character development was lackluster and the diversity felt so forced, i just could not get into it! for some reason the writing felt worse than dating dr. dil??

Try as I might it just wasn’t hitting unfortunately.

Idk I liked it but the thing about the first book is that that love story really pulled me in in addition to the smut, this one every time I was just like oh they are fucking again. Felt like there was not a lot of romance or personality especially compared to the first one.

I loved this!! Such a fantastic romance with a great cast of characters. The steamy scenes were chef's kiss. Pun intended...

“I want you to feel like it’s worth the effort—that I’m worth the effort.”

I always love a curvy girlboss. I related to Bobbi’s insecurities about her body so badly.

I enjoyed the first book a long time ago, dare I say it’s one of my many pandemic reads that I remember. Admittedly, I did zone out while reading this one, but I still enjoyed listening to it. Bobbi and Bunti were so much fun and I adored their relationship.

With that in mind, I adored the third act conflict. It felt realistic to the story and the characters (and me lol).

It was also amazing to see Kareena and Prem again with the Aunties and the chaos.

(And Bobbi, I too also prefer a man with a beard 🤭).
