The Jesus stuff is more than a little annoying but I guess it is American so... *shrugs*

Despite a good friend saying she didn’t think I’d like it, I’m enjoying the story and am looking forward to volume 2. It tickles my philosophical and speculative ethics bond.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. For a sci-fi comic I've heard nothing about, which I found scrummaging through cheap sale titles in a comic book shop, I really rather loved it.

It very much has the feel of the BBC TV show Survivors, which may be part of why I liked it so much. The themes are similar - the mystery of what has happened to everyone, a small group of people trying to survive in a new world, new religious beliefs emerging, dangerous people on the loose and a moral debate about what to do about criminals in a world without functioning prisons.

As it is only one volume (four issues) of a comic, some of the themes described above are admittedly underdeveloped and incomplete. I really want to see sequels, and I can't find anything online saying when or if they may appear. This volume came out in 2019 so my suspicion is that the pandemic may have got in the way - hopefully not permanently.

I really liked this, I want to read more of it.

I was really not that excited about this one, because honestly, it sounds like so many other stories going on right now. All very Twilight Zone 'you woke up and everything is changed but you' stuff. But it really works. It moves briskly with action and some pretty good mystery.

For some reason I never finished this series ... decided to read the last issue ... wish I hadn't bothered.

No real ending or explanation and no other issues in sight.

Also, read Dr. Stone for a similar moral quandary of choosing who to unfreeze, with an infinitely better story (though besides people being frozen that's about the only similarity ...)
