this was a 4.5 for me, I live for this romance
can’t wait to read the second book!! every time I give books ratings I compare them to the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, my favorite book, and when it is at least nearly as good I rate it a 5, but this just didn’t feel like Evelyn Hugo level, which few books really do, but I LOVEDDDD this book don’t get me wrong!!! Enemies to sort of friends to enemies to kissing to enemies again. I love women.....
Obviously I only picked this up for the sapphic romance, and it did not disappoint. But I also ended up invested in the plot, the secrets, and found myself unraveling the threads right along with Crier and Ayla.
Also... I suppose I’ll have to read the second one! That’s always a plus, when a book is good enough and ends ~ambiguously~ enough that it makes me want to continue the series.
Happy reading!

The audiobook was fantastic and I flew through this book. A little more YA than my personal preferences, but still worth a read.
