an engaging read! just a bit on the insta-love side for my taste. overall though I’m interested to see how the second book plays out

An amazing book, beautifully writen and two amazing and complex characters. Who leave goosebumps with every interaction. This is the definition of a slow-burn romance and always amazed me in new ways, this is a book you can't get your mind off even after reading it.

2.5 stars

OKAY so: i really wish i could give this a 3.5. i loved the characters (AYLAAAAAAAAA) and i’m so excited to read the next one, this book just really suffered from nothing happening-itis to me. i really dislike when books from series can’t stand alone as their own book and crier’s war definitely reads as the set up for another book

Had this on my TBR for awhile and I’m not entirely convinced about this story. I’m kind of invested but not sure how much I love the relationship between Crier and Ayla.
