This was so great! Had me hooked from the beginning. Typically I'm not one for plot-driven novels and this one had A LOT of plot, but I was so there for it. Clearly I couldn't put it down since it's 600 pages and I read it in a week. I feel like anything I write about what this book is about isn't giving it justice, so just pick it up if you haven't read this backlist title yet.

Too many plot twists! I loved the first third of this book, and then it just went off the rails. The ending wasn't satisfying enough for me, and I felt confused trying to keep up with it all. The writing style was enjoyable, though perhaps a little forced. I think Sarah Waters is talented, but thrillers may not be her forte.
