I am starting to get suspicious that I'm not the target audience of this book series...

This is probably my favorite Septimus Heap book so far. I thought after the last one that maybe I would stop after this one, but I felt like this one was good enough that I will continue on with the series as I find the other books in second hand shops. I think these books are clever and have a sense of humor, but they're also a bit dark for a children's series. Certainly, they're entertaining

This is the 3rd book in the septimus heap series. It was not as good as the first two books, but it wasn't bad. We have now departed from the basic characterization of the main characters, to seeng life as earn everyday experience. The book begins with Silas Heap opened up a sealed room and letting a substantial ghost out who tricks Jenna into sending Septimus back 500 years in time through a mirror. The book is a series of events that are the path of discovering lost secrets, find I and bringing septimus back, learning about the characters strengths and flaws, and about their love for each other. Already, we have the beginning of 4th books story as we have left two characters 500 years in the past who did not make it back and also he link or connection between snorri and her cat. I will still keep reading the series, but I am not dying to reading them and it might be awhile.

This series has been intriguing. I enjoyed this volume slightly less than the first two, but I definitely want to keep reading the series.

It took me a bit to get back to the story after so long away (and skipping book 2), but once in the groove, I had a great time. Septimus has a lot to live up to and deliver and he is wanted by another to be an apprentice....in the past....
There's a dragon, magic, time travel, princesses and an evil queen. Loved it!!

Another great book in the series. Septimus has been kidnapped, but where he’s been taken no one else should follow. He is in another time but still in the same place. He is now an Alchemy/ Physik apprentice and though the work is interesting and fun he is still trapped 500 years in the past, and he is worried that he will never be able to get to back. Jenna, Nicko, Snorri, and Ullr all are on their way into the past to rescue Sep. With her signature style of weaving between characters and this time weaving through time Sage has created a world that is always fun to go back to. For those who have read the other books and know that these books can get a little dark and scary.

This is perhaps one of my least favorite in the series, but I love what it does for the plot and how this series is amazing at taking the actions and consequences of one book and spreading it though out the entire series. If you kick a duck in the first book does it remember and bite you in the second?

If you are a fan of the series you won't be disappointed in the third one.

Silas unleashes an Evil Queen's ghost who almost kills Septimus. So Jenna has to promise her that she'll make him look through a mirror. When he does he is grabbed by a 500 year old man who gave himself the gift of immortality without the gift of youth. SOooooo time travel, ducks, physik, sickness, Snorri, Url, Sheep bones, and Alchemy (alchemie) haha

For people in fourth grade on up the third in a series so don't read them out of order.

Another fun adventure… this time, through time! There was so much detail in this book that I think it would have been better to read it instead of listening to the audiobook. I think I missed out on some of the rich descriptions, but it was still very entertaining to listen to.
