I listened to this book on Rakuten Kobo. I really enjoyed it. The narrator was pretty good but I struggled because she was supposed to be 18 and she really didn’t sound it.

This was definitely angsty and steamy. I’m not fully sure I love the MFC but she’s growing on me. I’m hoping she manages to win me in book 2.

Speaking of book 2 I didn’t realize this was a 2 book series so I was a bit disappointed at the end. Anyway it was good enough story telling to keep me captivated so on to book two!

DID NOT FINISH: 9%

I feel bad even writing this because I didn’t give it much of a shot, but the FMC’s insta list over Fisher was just off putting and felt disingenuous. And I can do an age gap, but when her maturity feels more like at 15 year old than a young adult it’s just cringy.

I automatically mark down cliffhanger endings by one star. Agree or disagree as you see fit, but I think it’s a narrative cop-out and I can’t stand ‘em.

somewhat cheesy, somewhat entertaining. the book touches a lot on purity culture and religious trauma which was interesting.

Worst book I’ve read all year. The FMC is terribly naive. For such a “godly woman”

Single POV
Cliffhanger

jea didnt write this book NO SHE DID NOT.

This story wasn’t what I expected, this was about Reece and Fisher. 10 years age difference. She was young and very naïve. Her mother just got out of prison after 5 years and she goes to stay with her to reconnect.  She was raised by a very strong Christian upbringing and everything is a sin. And then she meets the biggest temptation of her life.
I really had a hard time liking Fisher. I think he was at times cruel and took Reece for an emotional ride that was unfair and unnecessary
I need to read book two, it ends on a “To be continued “
