Now we hit the complication of the story - The Smiler has been elected, and Spider /knows/ he's worse that his predecessor, but nobody's listening any more. And then the incident on Dante Street - and its consequence - just solidifies this, and for once, Spider is powerless...

Filthy, black, crude, and perilously witty.

I fall more and more in love with this series with each volume.

One of the best series out there. Not for people who lack a sense of humour or have an over abundance of prudishness.

Always entertaining

Holy shit! That was brilliant!

By far the best of the Transmetropolitan collections thus far. I'm excited to see where Warren Ellis' ideas go from here now that they are really beginning to gel.

Intro by Patrick Stewart and a storyline about a genetic inspired killing, police cover-up and police murder of witnesses. Well done. It disturbingly reminds me of how a lot of my friends feel about the police and some of the bad shit I have seen.

The beginning meandered a bit, but the story arc towards the end was really strong.

Still pretty amazing, even 15 years on. Also horrifying and sad.

If you're already a misanthrope, read Transmetropolitan to have your belief system validated. If, on the other hand, you still aren't, read it to become one.

You can't lose here.
