Transmet started off exceptional and gets better exponentially. A real jolt of electricity to the soul.
Wow. What can I really say about this series that I haven't already said? It's amazing. I never thought I'd find another comic book series that I'd say is comparable to "The Invisibles" in scope, genius, and capacity to change your way of thinking, but my friends, this is it.
In this volume of Transmet, Ellis uses outlaw journalist Spider Jerusalem to tackle the issues of mortality, social commentary, political sex scandal, and hate crimes. The series continues to exude genius, hilarity, and quotability while talking one of the most brillaint looks at society I've ever seen in a comic, or any fiction for that matter...
If you're a fan of Warren Ellis, comics, or just fantastic story, this series is amazing. This volume was no exception...

The beginning of the series is great and the election plot was fantastic - but Ellis and Robertson take readers to another level, starting here. The story, as well as its preceding one-shots, moves beautifully through squalor and loveliness all the while showing us a bit more of the human underneath Spider's manic aggressive shell. There's a lot of soul in there - and they're starting to show it to us. Too bad it happens just as sh!t really starts to hit the fan for Spider and the filthy assistants... and we're talking in the biggest of ways...

I enjoyed this volume greatly, a meandering through Spider's column with striking images from the city, with all the politics, drugs and gonzo journalism you've come to expect.
Such a good series. I read the first vol about a year ago and then got sidetracked into other things. So glad a friend hounded me to pick it up again.
I did not enjoy this one nearly as much as the previous two. I found the social commentary musings just not enough to hold me. It is a shame as I was pretty excited to read this one because of the new president in the last one. It was an interesting run but I am ready to call it done.
The action! (I'm running out of things to say about each volume but that won't stop me from saying something!)
fantastic though terrifying in light of today's police and race issues advanced current election.
One of my favourites so far. A nice range of pace and some awesome world-building in the chapter '21 Days in the City'. Deliciously outrageous as ever, passionate and profound. Love this series.
