This felt like a MCFLY fan fiction but in the best way possible. It reminded me of adolescence and staying up all night, reading on my sister’s pink laptop. Is it predictable? Yes. But is it entertaining? Also yes.
The storyline is nothing spectacular, and I can’t say I wouldn’t have mind something more unique. But it scratched a need of nostalgia I didn’t know I had. So for that, four stars seems like the best possible way to go.

Not my favorite Kasie West read. I really liked Avery and Lauren and their development, but I had a hard time warming to Brooks... which would be really key given he is one of the main characters. Overall, the storyline was not moving as quick as I was in the mood for, and I recently read a "battle of the bands" YA novel. Could be one I would enjoy more in a different season, but just initial first impressions were not mind blowing.
