The Virgin Next Door had a cute setup and a sweet, nerdy hero I enjoyed. There were funny scenes, but at times, the humour felt a bit too over-the-top, like it was trying a little too hard to be quirky or outrageous. That made it harder for me to fully connect, even though I liked the overall vibe.
Still, it was a light and easy read.

Meh? This was the first book in the series and I read it last and by far the worst book out of them. Comparing this one to the rest of them it just felt lack luster and not a lot of thought put behind them.

Started reading the sample but just wasn't into it. I might try it again another time.
It was cute… but there are some things I just find a bit “off putting”
Mainly… the Virgin trope!
virgin tropes are so funny/obnoxious to me.
It’s usually the FMC
She’s a sex-pert virgin? Who really loves her “toys” and calls a man “Mr. Sexy pants” (which we aren’t 13, just no to that nickname)
But why it really bothers me is… it sets that male fantasy of a virgin, loose. Perpetuating the myth that only virgins are desirable and good enough.
But wait, she can’t be “bad at sex” y’all! Goddess forbid!
So hey let’s make her a sexpert virgin who constantly “practices”
Which yeah okay good for you girl, but it’s not the Female empowerment this author thinks it is. It too reads like a pick me…
Just further spreads the “Virgin or just 1 partner” already rampant in so many romance books.
Like she (any FMC) must be a siren, but ONLY in theory
Never practice!
So either “pure” or “acceptable body count”
But she’s gotta be
