Love love love the cover! Unfortunately the love doesn’t translate to the book. It was good, had some semi-funny parts, but left me wanting for a bit more.

coincidence!

Only in the biggest city do we get kismet that feels small town. I love the sex-positive Veronica Valentine. And Milo Sexy Pants is not too shabby! Their chemistry is fun, and the cute dogs are icing on the cake. The epilogues do a solid job of setting up what comes next- and I’m excited to add them to the queue!

Veronica (26) and Milo (29)
Sex checklist, virgin FMC, hidden identity, boss/employee.
I was confused as hell when at the end of chapter 6 an ad for THIS BOOK pops up “Find out about Milo‘s plans and Veronica’s plans, and how Murphy’s law is about to capsize all of them in the virgin next door…” like, what??? Then the book seems to start over with “her prologue” then another chapter 1.  What is happening?

This story was really entertaining and had a lot of funny banter between the MCs. Some parts needed more details but it was short enough to finish in an afternoon.
It was a slow burn but I was loving it anyways (~50%). The sex scenes were actually pretty mild but for some reason they just did it for me! 2🔥

When Milo says “I don’t own a combination bookstore and calorie free cake shop, but I’m very good with my hands.”  I freaking died.
I don’t know that I would read more of THIS series but Lauren Blakely has so many other books that definitely piqued my interest!

I honestly loved this! It was spicy and funny and some romance. Not my typical genre and a perfect pallet cleanser !
I’ve already recommended this to like 5 people lol

I love Lauren Blakely’s writing style, she gives us emotion with a little cheek, humor with a little bit more and heat with the whole darn thing!

Veronica and Milo’s story is sweet and steamy and just a joy to read. Veronica knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to voice it, and Milo is secure enough to let her take those reigns and enjoy the ride.

This is just a fun story of a summer romance that is just so much more! And it has promises of more stories from the side and not so side characters. Because as with most of Lauren’s books there’s always some sort of connection to something and it just makes you want to read all her books!!
