Solid, mostly fluffy, not angsty 4-stars. Maybe 3.5 in a good way.
(I just downgraded another book from 4 to 3 because it didn't measure up to this one.)

Sexy Rom-Com at its Finest!
Within the first few chapters, I had already fallen in love with the characters and was laughing out loud at their inner dialogue. One of my favorite things about this book is the sexual autonomy of the female characters. They are unapologetic, and it is absolutely refreshing. When it got into the romance and the spicy bits, it was even better, and they've been playing over and over in my head for days. I love the way Lauren writes and I can’t wait to read the next one. Definitely recommend.

Okay this was actually really good? I expected a bunch of cheesy, raunchy smut, but it was actually a cute story. Great smut, but not too much. 4 stars instead of 5 because there was no *surprise* element and not really any conflict. Super easy read.
After meeting and flirting over cake, Milo and Veronica have the ultimate meet cute, but the day turns sour to our heroine when she loses the job she loves and ends up getting a temp summer job while things cool down for her with none other than the man she’s been fantasizing and writing about.
This book is a mix of cute and sexy wrapped up with great flirting and amazing word games. I really enjoyed the freshness of Veronica and Milo and their supporting characters, not to mention their pets. Always like how Ms. Blakely brings out wit, smarts, fashion sense and mixes it evenly with love of culture, food and pets making the characters more vivid and relatable and, of course, TVND is spot on.
The story is fresh, fun, entertaining and definitely top notch and if you want to feel it all even better go for the audio and I’m it won’t disappoint.

This story gets a solid four stars from me -- enjoyable audiobook, but not one of the best ever. I wish I could more fully embrace Zachary Webber's voice. I WANT TO, I really do. But the story was charming and it was a fun listen while on a road trip.
Interesting story. Kind of repetitive. The sexy scenes were not very sexy

When Veronica accidentally sends the wrong file to her job she loses her job in publishing and ends up taking a job at a shop nearby that happens to be owned by Milo, the guy in her neighborhood she’s had a crush on and has been secretly writing about for her Tales of the Naughty Virgin column. He’s been crushing on her too and the pair begin a steamy relationship.
Lauren’s books are always an easy and steamy read, which is exactly what I needed today. I didn’t love the tone of the blurb, but was happy to find that it was not continued in the book itself. The dual POV helped me to feel connected to both Milo and Veronica. I liked both Milo and Veronica, but I will say that there were a few moments where Veronica crossed into manic-pixie-dream-girl territory. I loved that both absolutely adored their pets and that the pets were a major part of their lives. I loved the overall happy tone of the book, which I think is lacking in so many contemporary romances. I will always read Lauren’s books as they are just filled with joy.

Took 25% of the book for them to properly meet each other. But the whole thing is sort of boring and feels forced.
Absolutely delightful!
Seriously I couldn’t get enough of this one. I know my favourite character in this book is Veronica by far. I loved her attitude. 100% loved that she owns being a virgin she just isn’t ready to give someone that gift yet. Guess what THAT IS OK! I think that is what I liked the most; usually I am not a fan of adult virgin romances. But this was so far from any of those.
Veronica is so boldly herself, even when a mishap happens and she loses a lot she picks herself right back up and just figures it out. I want to high five her.
Milo took me a little more to come around to, I get that he has been bitten and is a little shy. But I will say he doesn’t second guess jumping all in. Is he cautious yes but again that is understandable.
What a breath of fresh air this book was from what I have been listening to.
Teddy & Vanessa go together like peanut butter and jam, their voices just complement each other I loved it.
I loved the POV of the cat and the bonus epilogue ;) it’s a treat.
Seriously I highly recommend.
