I don’t even know how to rate or review this! It kept me entertained and surprised and wanting more the whole time but I was so confused half the time and I didn’t know if it was because of me and not comprehending or just the way the author wanted you to read/ingest it. I’m giving it 4 stars because I did LIKE and ENJOY it. I didn’t love it and it won’t be my favorite for the year, but it was interesting. I’m glad I had the opportunity to read it and be apart of the book club that was reading it! But I just can’t describe my thoughts

I enjoyed this book from start to finish, first time reading this author. She always stayed ahead of where my mind thought she was going, I really had a hard time putting this book down.

I was a little nervous about reading this, because I haven't been able to read much that is stressful during the pandemic. But, I really enjoyed [b:The Chalk Man|35356382|The Chalk Man|C.J. Tudor|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1568852018l/35356382._SY75_.jpg|52592002]. I'm so glad that I did. I love Tudor's writing, pacing and characters. This was completely distracting and I couldn't stop!

I have yet to be disappointed by C.J. Tudor. I absolutely adore paranormal thrillers and her delivery is fantastic. She keeps you hooked from page one and you are unable to let go of the book until you reach that last page where you get all the answers and it feels like you finished a marathon. That's one of the things that made me fall in love with thrillers. How they grip you with different emotions and all the packed heavy action that leaves you with a book hangover. This was it for me.

This was is an incredibly engaging thriller that captivated me by the plot summary. A man driving home one night is stuck behind an unfamiliar car with a “Honk if You’re Horny” bumper sticker and sees his daughter in the rear window. Then it’s confirmed that his wife and daughter were actually murdered in their home, but how is that possible when he saw his daughter being kidnapped?? That itself was wild to me and the book did not disappoint. The concept of "The Other People" drew me in right away and the execution was fantastic. I know I probably shouldn’t have, but I felt so much sympathy for them. The story is fast-paced and the short, cliffhanger endings to each chapter left me desperate to keep reading. The multiple POVs (3+) were confusing at first, but as the story unfolded, I enjoyed piecing together the different perspectives to fully understand the complex plot. It did have a sprinkle of supernatural elements and I definitely recommend this book!
