A very particular style of writing - in which what is not written quite often fills the blanks. It's a fascinating journey into a normal life. A normal life where you lose control and clutch at straws and pretend it's okay.
I'd be very curious how this book feels to someone who doesn't worry about climate on a regular basis. Would they also get the feeling of dread growing after each page?

Appropriately, there's no climax to the book. We haven't lived it yet. We're just finding different ways to grieve. This book is an illustration of the process that many of us will be going through.

enjoyed the writing style, but nothing about this book really stuck with me
- The prose is really to-the-point. Almost poetic but certainly not flowery
- Snapshot of the feeling of living in 2020: indirect references to Trump, voter fraud, the divided political/social state of the US
- Main character worries about the environment and how climate change will inevitably kill us all
- Very quick read (finished in two nights)
