I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for a fair review.

I enjoyed reading this book and especially liked Paris for One. I liked the other short stories, but felt that most were too short and I wanted more from them.

mmm ok so i technically didnt finish the WHOLE book but i finished 86% which is enough.

I REALLY liked the cutesy, lovey, movie-like vibes of Paris for One. And then came the other stories...They were OK. Soem of them were interesting, others I jsut didn't care to read. I wanted a book full of Paris stories but got one really cute story, a failed honeymoon, some kind of robbery, and other stories that I'm sorry but I did not want to read.

I will definitely read another Jojo Moyes book but not one with short stories.

This is my first Jojo Moyes' book and I am looking forward to more....she managed a whole story with defined characters and great second characters in just a few pages. I can't even imagine what she does with a standard novel.

I loved the love story in Paris. Made me smile and believe in love. The other stories were okay.

3 stars for the first story (Paris for One), but 2 stars for the other stories. I wish Jojo Moyes would have expanded the Paris for One story line...

The short story Paris for One was amazing. It was a story that has been told before, but not by Jojo Moyes, and I loved it. It’s the classic "timid girl goes to a foreign country and meets a cute guy better than her boyfriend and it changes her life" story. I couldn’t put it down! Honestly, I think it could have been a full-length book, not just a short story. The other stories were well-written and interesting as well. Furthermore, I loved the intrigue of Between the Tweets and the twist at the end. Also, Crocodile Shoes was delightful, (but if I had been the main character, I probably would have kept them!) Last Year’s Coat had a similar feel to it, but different circumstances, and I loved that the main character had supportive, loving people in her life. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan of Thirteen Days With John C. because I didn’t like the main character. Additionally, Holdups, Love in the Afternoon, and A Bird in the Hand were kind of forgetful. Finally, The Christmas List was the perfect way to end the book.
