I enjoyed the second half of this book more than the first, but still very much enjoyed it as a whole. I’d forgotten a lot of what happened in the movie so it was really nice to feel like I was discovering a lot for the first time! Plus I love how much extra context and depth you get in the books.

Aight listen. You all say you hate Gilderoy Lockhart, but really, he's just a big babey and needs a hug.
And fight me, but he'd be the one to come to a student's aid like "Cheryl Higglebottom said what about you? No you don't have lazy eyes and a stupid nose. I bet you'd win the best smile award in your age category" becAUSE THAT'S HOW HE IS.

who would have probably given out Valentines to students who didn't get them when everybody was getting Valentines? Lockhart. Probably.
Is Lockhart a good man? No.
Is he stupid? yes.
is he funny? yes.
But I will literally visit him at Mungo's because he's just a little lying baby who tries his best but also doesn't.
