My first Sandra Brown book; recommended to me because I love thrillers and I love romance. The premise was interesting, the leads seem to have chemistry, but I had to check the publication date a couple times, because this alpha male felt a little one-dimensional and condescending, more of a 1990’s hero than a 2010’s.

Also, I didn’t care for the audiobook narrator, and was distracted multiple times when it sounded like his mouth was full of saliva and he needed to swallow. (Maybe my new headphones are just too sensitive?!?)

Will try another Sandra Brown book, but probably not an audio version.

3.5⭐️ Seeing Red was an exciting read and the “other man” was a mystery until near the end, and the shock, oh my! Kerra is an acclaimed news reporter getting an exclusive interview with Major Franklin Trapper 25 years after a hotel bombing that made him famous. His son John, and former ATF agent, wants nothing to do with any of it. The twists and turns of this story had me guessing and wanting to know what happened next!

This book is a roller coaster ride from the first page to the last. It was full of action, had a great plot with a twist. I loved all the action and interaction between the characters. I recommend running to your favorite book store and grabbing a copy.

I won this book from Goodreads in return for my honest review.

Not a very good book. I have serious problems with how the main characters act and react. Most of the twists are telegraphed along the way and the final reveal seemed like a last minute add-on. Would not recommend to anyone other than hardcore Sandra Brown fans.

I must preface this by saying that I knew going in that this wasn’t going to be for me. It fulfilled a category for a challenge so I powered through. I could see how a romance reader who likes a hint of mystery would like this but I felt it was contrived, cheesy, vanilla in its sex scenes but seemed to be trying to be dirty. I figured out the mystery within a few sections and I didn’t love the narrator.

So many twists and turns towards the end I thought I was on a roller coaster! You don't know which character is good and which is bad!

Picked this one up for $1 at the local used bookstore. I’m new to reading Sandra Brown and enjoyed the plot. Officially I’d give it a 3.5 stars rating. Lots of characters to keep track of and the ending was confusing too. I’ll read more of her books for some mystery/suspense though.

Ceritanya sendiri cukup bikin penasaran. Agak membosankan di beberapa titik, tapi tetap oke. Ekseskusinya seperti biasa, juara!

Semua orang mencurigakan, termasuk Trapper. As pembaca, jelas trust issue dengan semua karakternya.

Oh, aku sebal dengan pelaku a.k.a si otak semua kekacauan ini. Nggak perlu disumpahin, sudah kena karmanya sendiri. Mungkin agak sedikit janggal di awal disebut dia kelihatan ingin menantang "orang" yg entah siapa itu, lalu mendadak jadi pemberani. Anyway, the twist in the Mayor's house tuh wow!

Well, menurutku kisahnya tidak semenegangkan karya-karya Sandra Brown yg lain.

I'll drop 3.5 for this book.
