Cute cute cute. Loved the spice. Loved the romance. Can’t wait for more by this author.

Friends to fake married to lovers?? Yes please! This is the most serious of the If Shakespeare were an Auntie books by Nisha Sharma. Filled with the most heartbreaking family drama and disappointment. Deepak and Veera are still couple goals though. I absolutely adore the window into South Asian culture these books give me. These two characters are both a little damaged by their families, but they overcome the power struggles with grace. The spicy scenes were *fans self hot 🥵. I absolutely adore this trilogy. Laugh out loud funny and full of heart! Highly recommend all 3!

Nice and cute to finish the trilogy

This was more of a 3.5 for me as a whole, but rounded up based on some really lovely moments.

Veera and Deepak are best of friends. Veera was shocked when Deepak ended up engaged with someone else. When his engagement ended, Veera happens to call on him for help.  Then Veera and Deepak end up married. The two realize how much they love one another, but work is also both of their passions.

Tropes: Friends to lovers. Shakespeare retelling. One bed. Fake marriage.

Steamy moments.

A stellar ending to one of my favorite romance series! Once again, Sharma knocks it out of the park with her characters. The sexual tension and emotional growth were perfect, and I was so happy to see how their friends were part of their happily ever after.

I was impressed with how Sharma handled Veera being the only one of her friends that was single, after the events of the first two books. This, as well as her long standing attraction to Deepak was written so thoughtfully, better than I could’ve ever hoped for. There’s so much community in this book, that I think it might actually be my favorite of the series.

Also, I loved the side relationship in this story! There’s a clever twist at the end, but I was happy to see a queer character like Sana living out her life, as prickly as she may be.

What an ending! I can’t wait to see what Nisha Sharma writes next!

ARC provided by Edelweiss and Avon. All thoughts are my own.

Yeah, Nisha did not lie when she said the best love story was saved for last.

I absolutely adored this book. I LOVED Veera and Deepak’s relationship. I loved all of the family moments between Veera and Sana, Veera, Deepak, and his parents, them and Veera’s mother, and the aunties!

I loved how Olivia was involved in the plot and became a character in her own right and fell for Sana, and reached out for Deepak and Veera’s help to convince Sana of the truth.

I loved seeing all the Hindu ceremonies related to holidays, traditions, and weddings. It was beautiful to see how the family welcomes their daughter-in-law. I loved to hear that both their mothers hoped that Veera and Deepak ended up together. I loved how Deepak’s mother supported Veera as a new wife and as a daughter-in-law. She genuinely loves her. I love that Deepak also likes the idea of having a sister in the form of Sana.

I loved all the nerdy little moments of personality and the domestic moments. The white board and planning moments.

I loved the climatic scene of Sana and Olivia showing up and Veera realizing she didn’t want to leave and Deepak admitting that he loved Veera and begged her to stay, fearing she was leaving, and her telling him she was just going to move her stuff downstairs and she loves him.

4.5 stars, definitely my favorite of the trilogy
