Cute, but terrible editing. So many mistakes. Also overall a bit too cheesy, not enough development for the characters.

I did not want this book to end. This series is the third in Nisha Sharma’s Shakespeare adaptations with an Indian twist. The world she creates has people who speak in multiple languages, cook food to show love, take their shoes off before entering homes, pestering aunties, WhatsApp chats, religious ceremonies, and so much more. I read it and it felt like home.

You should have seen me keep pushing to the next page on my kindle hoping there was a second epilogue. I never wanted it to finish. The story of Veera and Deepak was set into motion in the prior two books of the series and I strongly recommend reading them in order. I loved and savored each book in the series and this was no exception. Deepak and Veera accidentally get married and realize it can be used to help their goals. Veera has loved him for a long time while Deepak just needed to catch up. When he does catch up it is magnificent. I loved how the author shows various kinds of parental love. We see healthy and supportive love. We then see others who are destructive and demeaning. I understood Veera’s situation deeply as she had the second kind and I loved her story as she moved from them. (I cried) I loved that she was such a strong kind woman who helped women everywhere. I love how she was just a genius. Every character had layers and I wanted to stay in this world for longer. I’m so sad that this series is over. I hope she does a spin off.

I’m not sure if it’s because I listened to this book on my 8 hour trip to North Carolina or if it was because of whatever you wanna call chapter 24 (iykyk) but this is definitely the best out of the three books and it’s one of my favorite reads all year!

Best of the 3

eeeeeeek this had me GIGGLING! Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone were giving away free copies of this book at a signing I went to just because they loved it that much… and god were they RIGHT! this was sooooo fucking fun.

all of the tropes were just so funny and cute and i was literally kicking my feet. the accidental marriage, the she fell first he fell harder, the EDGING!!! it had me synopsizing the entire book in text to my bff!! i loved it SO much! maybe my favorite rom com of the year. even the drama was well written and fun. i loved the family drama and how all of it unfolded. i do wish i had read the first two books first, but i look forward to getting back around to them eventually! and def checking out more of her work!
