Oh wait yeah, the book! Almost forgot - it’s basically Italian magic pirates Ocean’s 11. And there’s some guy named Locke, but this is Zamira’s world. Locke’s just visiting and hogging page real estate.
i wanted to like this more but i had to take frequent breaks from how bored i got. continuously changing allegiances and straying away from the main storyline left me disappointed.

What can I say, this is one of my favourite books ever. Part of me wanted to start reading it again as soon as I finished. I love the various storylines and how they are all intertwined. I love the plottwists and how they just keep coming. I love characters and how each and every one of them feels like an actual person with hopes and goals and dreams. I love the dialogues and how Lynch manages to make me laugh out loud while reading them. Most of all, I love Locke and Jean. Both as a team and separately. They make the book (and the series) for me with their banter, their love for each other and the way they take such joy in what they do (as they should, because they're damn good at it). I cannot recommend this book enough. Read it!!
