Gillian Flynn sure has a knack for writing awful, awful characters. I was so turned off by Libby's attitude that I quit after 50 pages. I didn't care to see how it all turned out.
Pretty dark subject matter and hard to get through at times, but it keeps you in suspense. Flynn does a great job with giving each character a voice, and the sassy writing alone is worth the 4 stars.
i didn’t get into this one as quickly as sharp objects but once i got to the end i couldn’t put it down. definitely has some hard to read sections that had me grossed out but it was effective!

Depressing, nothing redemptive. I love her other books and don't mind the darkness, but this one didn't do it for me.
This book was dark and twisted and wonderful! I couldn't put it down! I can't wait to move on to another Gillian Flynn!
