Me ha parecido una novela envolvente que te sitúa en una época y un lugar en el que no se está pasando nada bien (Caracas, Venezuela, en la actualidad). Durante la lectura no hacía más que pensar en cómo podía ser posible que esto pudiera estar pasando. Es un novela, evidentemente, de ficción pero no son pocos los que me han confirmado que no se aleja tanto de la realidad y es por eso que me ha gustado tanto. Por los personajes tan bien formados y realistas, por el coraje que desprende el libro y lo fluida que es la narración. Es un libro muy corto pero que llega al alma. 100% recomendado.

While the focus on Venezuela’s political unrest was an interesting history that I am not familiar with, this book was just too slow paced. The main character was boring and unlikeable. The narrative alternated between past & present in weird halting and confusing jumps. The writing was overly metaphorical and came across as trying too hard. I think the actual story had potential but this missed the mark.
